Q: What sports are played at SPNY?
A: In 2008, SPNY is organizing leagues for Softball, Flag Football, Sand Volleyball, and Kickball.
Q: Are these competitive or recreational leagues?
A: Our Volleyball and Kickball leagues are purely recreational. Our Softball leagues are arranged by class - currently we host D and E (Rec) leagues. We offer two divisions for our Flag Football leagues - Upper (C/D) and Lower (D/E).
Q: When do teams play?
A: SPNY operates from April 15th through October 31st. League Games are scheduled Monday through Friday (6PM and 7:15PM) and Sunday (Starting at 11AM through 7:15PM). Tournament games are scheduled all day Saturday. Schedules will be completed at least two (2) weeks prior to opening week.
Q: Where do teams play?
A: SPNY organizes Softball leagues that play in two locations - SPNY and Ellison Park (Wednesday and Thursday Men's D Leagues ONLY). Our Flag Football, Volleyball, and Kickball leagues all play at SPNY located at 525 Ballantyne Road in Rochester, New York 14623.
Q: How much does it cost to play at SPNY?
A: Please see our League Rate Schedule for a complete list of league registration fees and refer to our Tournament Rate Chart for a comprehensive variable rate chart with pre-determined prize payouts based on a combination of entrance fee paid per team and team participation. Early entry discounts are available for league registration and may vary according to select sport and season.
Q: Who officiates the games?
A: Softball and Flag Football games are officiated by SORA - USSSA sanctioned officials. Volleyball and Kickball games are self-officiated.
Q: I want to play a sport, but I don't have a team. What do I do?

Q: What are the responsibilities of a Team Manager?
A: The Team Manager is our primary contact person and the team's spokesperson. He or she is responsible for the following:
- Collecting and remitting all registration fees;
- Submitting required signature forms (ie. Team Roster and Waiver/Release);
- Communicating events and game schedule with teammates;
- and reporting game results.
For their efforts, Team Managers are provided with Reserved Parking at SPNY and access to exclusive promotions and discounts.
Q: How do I register my team?
A: Team Managers can register their teams for the season and for tournaments by filling out the Team League Registration Form and/or Tournament Registration Form(s) and remitting payment to SPNY's office. We offer online registration and secure payment options. Registration Forms may also be printed and mailed in.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept checks, money orders, PayPal, and credit card payments.
